ABOUT THE FILM
What saves a life? A group of international lifeguards face this question as they travel to a one mile stretch of beach the whole world has their eyes on: Lesvos Island, Greece. Volunteering through the International Surf Lifesaving Association (ISLA) these guards arrive having never met, and are shocked when they find themselves receiving a 200 passenger refugee boat within minutes of their first day on watch. It doesn't matter who they'd saved before and under what conditions. These highly skilled individuals are tossed into the unknown with each refugee that passes through their hands, making their first step onto free land.
